What's New At Knitter's Addiction

How Knitter's Addiction Became Reality

Geoff and Ann Chilman - Wednesday, January 14, 2009
I am Allison the creative mind behind Knitter’s Addiction.  My "addictions" in life include travel, helping others and of course KNITTING!  My husband had the idea that I combine these "addictions" and create a craft business which could help sell yarns that I love as well as yarns from communities who are unable to sell it themselves.

Several years back, I crossed paths with a friend who has the most exquisite cashmere yarns from Inner Mongolia.  I had to get this secret out to other knitters, crocheters, weavers and lovers of fine yarns.  As a result the idea of Knitter’s Addiction was born.

We are now working on expanding to bring you some more exciting yarns and craft notions over the coming year.  Some items we are looking to stock include recycled sari silk yarn and gorgeous rosewood needles from Nepal.

This year Knitter’s Addiction will also be working to help an orphanage in the Jilin Province of China which is near where our cashmere comes from.  We will post more details soon.

In the meantime, we hope you enjoy this site and this blog.  We are planning to start a project soon and we will go through some basic step by step instructions so you can learn to knit as well!

We welcome any feedback you may have and we are always happy to help with any questions...so please feel free to contact us
