Spring 2009 Australian Knitting Mag In Stock Now!

We finally have the latest Australian Knitting mag in stock. It has some lovely projects in it that suit all ranges of expertise. there is a great crocheted "kimono" that is fabulous along with a few nifty projects that are unique. I was really excited to see crochet highlighted in one of the main projects.

Computer/Server Issue Resolved!

OMG...right after our sale my main computer/server crashed! Luckily my computer genius of a husband has rebuilt everything and recovered all of the data and we are now up and running again!

Talk about stress, right?!?!

Thank goodness all of the orders were sent out before it crashed! I had an angel looking over me!

But now I am finally able to get back to my blogs and a few new items will be added soon.

Fabulous Niddy Noddy Skein Maker is Here!

The great Niddy Noddy from Ashfords is now here! It will make life so much easier when you are making your skeins for hand dyeing. We all know how painful it can be to do this on the back of a chair...so now you have the niddy noddy which makes it a piece of cake!

Makes a 1.5m (5') round skein. Take the yarn from the spinning wheel bobbin onto the niddy noddy. It has specially shaped crossbars that allow the skein (hank) of yarn to slide off easily.

We are just loving our Niddy Noddy!

We just got in our new 100% bamboo yarn. It is a stunning yarn for anytime of year. It is a great combo of soft and silky. Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and very durable (so yes if you want to you can pop it into the washing machine). This yarn is a great eco-friendly yarn which is perfect for those of you who do not wear animal fibers.

We just got some freshly spun banana and sari silk yarns from our ladies in Nepal. We were able to get more of our favorite colours thankfully! We are still hoping to get more indigo in the sari silk yarn soon but in the meantime we have a fabulous new dark blue that has arrived.

We have finally had our knitting needles and crochet hooks arrive. These are from a community in India and the manufacturers use some of their profits to help the locals and with sending the local children to school. They hand craft these needles and hooks in an environmentally friendly way without using any chemicals or additives. They achieve the polished finishes naturally!

You will love these knitting needles and crochet hooks! You can choose between the finely polished Rosewood knitting needles and crochet hooks or the naturally smooth Surina wood knitting needles and crochet hooks. We also have some fabulous double pointed knitting needles made from Rosewood.

More Possum Yarn Has Arrived!

We hope everyone is doing well. This is just a quick blog post to let you know that we have received more POSSUM YARN!! We have received some of the solid colours as well as some great new multi-shade ones. The new one called "greens" is really fabulous...a lot better in person than the photo shows. We also received a couple patterns for the Touch Yarn range of yarns.
